Our quick rise to excellence from very humble beginnings can be attributed to our dedicated founders. Ruediger and Julie Flik founded Flik International Corp in 1971 when they contracted Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, an account retained to this day. Over the years, FLIK has expanded its client base from the independent school and college sectors to corporate dining clients and private catering.

In the fall of 2001, Flik Independent Schools by Chartwells was introduced as a new division of the Compass Group designed to provide quality food service management specifically for the independent school. Our accounts range from the northern borders of Maine, south to Virginia and west to Kentucky and everywhere we go we pride ourselves in providing expertly prepared food and service that reflects the unique and individualized needs of these diverse populations and communities.
